Is the food safe? Who makes it?
Every kitchen is a real neighbor baking under Wisconsin's cottage food law — made at home, not in a licensed commercial kitchen. Bakers list their ingredients and allergens, and you can message them before ordering. If you have an allergy, always check first.
How does pickup work?
You reserve online, then pick up during the baker's posted window. Pay on Venmo at checkout, or pay at pickup if the baker offers it. The exact address is shared privately after you order — no address on a public page.
How do I pay?
You pay the baker directly on Venmo — Neighbor Table never touches your money and takes no cut. At checkout we open Venmo with the amount and an order code already filled in, so it's one tap.
Do you deliver?
No — Neighbor Table is pickup-only, on purpose. Keeping it local is what makes fresh, home-baked food possible at these prices, and it's how you actually meet the person who made your food.
What if something's wrong with my order?
Message the baker first — most things get sorted quickly. If you can't reach a resolution, email support@neighbortable.app and we'll help make it right.
For bakers
Is it legal for me to sell home-baked goods?
In Wisconsin, yes — the cottage food law lets you sell many home-baked, shelf-stable goods directly to neighbors without a commercial license. Neighbor Table is built around those rules. You're responsible for following them; we surface the disclosures.
What does it cost me?
Nothing — Neighbor Table is completely free. Neighbors pay you directly on Venmo, so you keep 100% of every order. No platform fee, no cut, ever.
How and when do I get paid?
Straight to your Venmo — no payout wait, no bank setup. Most neighbors pay at checkout, so it's in your account the moment they order. Prefer to collect in person? Turn on pay-at-pickup and take Venmo or cash at handoff. Just add your Venmo username when you set up your kitchen.
Can I use this at my farm stand?
Yes — it's built for stands. Post your QR code at the stand and neighbors scan to order and pay by Venmo, no fees and no cash box. Better yet, every sale captures the customer, so a roadside stand that used to be anonymous becomes a list you can invite back for the next batch, announce what's fresh, or open up for preorders.
What can I sell?
Shelf-stable baked goods and treats that qualify under Wisconsin's cottage food law — breads, cookies, bars, pies, and the like. If you're unsure whether an item qualifies, email support@neighbortable.app before you list it.
What are drops?
Drops are timed, limited releases — schedule one and your followers get a heads-up the moment it goes live. Perfect for a Saturday batch or a holiday special.
